The illustrations were mostly commissioned by well established publishers. The Fairy Brightwings books however were with a private publisher who gave me the opportunity of pursuing my own ideas. Sometimes people like a painting as a gift or a memento of a special occasion, a prize posession, or a beloved pet. Each painting I undertake is done with great care and commitment.
Here are just a few samples of requests that I have undertaken. Each one has been a challenge in it's own way but that is part of what my work entails. As an artist it is in the joy of creating an image that will be meaningful to someone that is part of the driving impetus that keeps me working, and seeking new ways of achieving this.
